TAIPEI, Taiwan, October 7, 2005— RAID storage expert Infortrend® today announced it is now shipping new redundant and single controller models of its 1U high EonStor® Fibre-to-Fibre RAID controller head. Offering bandwidth up to 800 Megabytes per second (MBps), the ability to connect up to 224 Fibre Channel hard drives in two (2) FC-AL loop , and redundant hot-swappable components for exceptional dependability, the EonStor FF-R2021 (redundant controller) and FF-S2021 (single controller) deliver tremendous flexibility, expansion and performance for both storage area network (SAN) and direct-attached storage environments.

Powered by Infortrend's latest custom ASIC266 with XOR engine, the EonStor FF-R2021/S2021controller head delivers unprecedented performance, extreme reliability, and exceptional data availability for today's data-intensive storage environments. Its modular design minimizes maintenance time and increases scalability for demanding, high capacity SAN applications.
