INFORTREND ADDS NEW MODELS TO ITS RAID CONTROLLER LINE
Single and Redundant Fibre Controller Heads come with Four FC-2G Channels

TAIPEI, TAIWAN, December 12, 2005—RAID storage expert Infortrend® today announced two more products in its line of 1U Fibre-to-Fibre RAID controller heads, the EonStor® FF-R2021-4 (redundant controller) and FF-S2021-4 (single controller). While the FF-R/S2021 controller heads released in October 2005 have six (6) FC-2G channels, these new products have four (4) FC-2G channels and still offer the same high performance and extreme flexibility as the earlier models. All four systems offer bandwidth up to 800Megabytes per second (MBps), the ability to connect up to 112 Fibre Channel hard drives in two FC-AL loops, and redundant hot-swappable components for exceptional dependability, expansion, and performance for storage area network (SAN) and direct-attached storage (DAS) environments.

The EonStor FF-R2021 and FF-S2021 are easy to configure and operate with a cross-platform GUI and can be used in a variety of environments such as FC SAN, digital content delivery, online processing and more. All four models are available through Infortrend’s worldwide network of OEMs, distributors, and storage integrators.
